Our Fairytale...

How did Heather and Adam Sargeant, become Heather and Adam Sargeant? That is a great question, and here is the Amazing story...

It is February of 2008. And this is from Heather's point of view :)
how we MET!

I was going to my single adult ward's indoor sports activity on February 29, 2008.  There was this really cute guy who just happened to be totally awesome at every sport we played. Which happened to be soccer and scatterball ( dodgeball, only every man for himself instead of teams ). It was very attractive :) We flirted throughout the whole night. Adam was not a member of my single adult ward. He was randomly invited by someone from his institute to come that night and since he lived a little ways a way, he had to go buy shorts from target. We saw each other about 4 times in the next week. and the next thursday march 6, he asked me out at a singles activity playing volleyball. That night i went with my sister jaime and had told her beforehand to look out for him because I liked him :) I said just look for the guy who looks like patrick dempsey and has a twinkle in his eye. She kicked me the second we saw him because she knew it was him from my description. ha ha. During that night he asked me to pepper with him and then the night was coming to a close. It was the last game and I was sitting out so he decided to sit out and he asked me point blank... "Are you buys tomorrow night?" me - "no" (absolute lie, i had plans to go to the huntington beach dance with some of my girlfriends ) "Do you want to go on a date with me?" me - "yes". I was so excited. we walked out to our cars and he was getting my phone number. I went to hug him goodbye and he was so nervous he dropped his keys :)

The DATE.

He planned it all out and would not tell me where we were going. we were going on a double date with his friend tony. He picked me up and took me to macaroni grill, where we met the other couple. It was wonderful, not only because of the great food but because of the conversation. It was like we had known each other forever. no awkwardness, nothing. It was perfect. We proceeded on the date and went to see 10,000 BC. Worst movie EVER! But it worked to our advantage because we talked through the whole thing. No hand holding :( He took me back to my car and we said goodnight because i told him i had the previous plans with the girls.. then i called him. "Hey! I have a great idea. Why don't you meet me at the huntington beach dance?" So he did. he got there in time for 1 slow song. But we did not dance it together :( In a matter of seconds "d-bone" (as we now call him) asked me to dance and adam lost his chance. ha ha. After that we decided to go back to his apartment, we ate moose-tracks and talked and played guitar hero. It was awesome.

We became inseparable. Spending every available minute together.  We took a trip to utah for general conference. This trip was where i met his first family member. Grandma. She told me she loved me that day and told adam that i was a keeper :) I then met his sister, her husband and their then 3 kids. as well as his other sister and her husband.

In may he moved to bakersfield to work with his dad. so we were long distance. i came to visit about 4 different times and then decided that i had a decision to make. Follow him or stop seeing him. i obviously chose the first option. i found an apartment with some LDS girls out there and moved! for the next month or so i was jobless and friendless and family-less. it was a rough time but i had adam. I then found a job coaching soccer.

The ENGAGEMENT

it was august 19, 2008. Adam came to pick me up for a date. He was dressed up nice and had a dozen long stem red roses and he handed them to me and said, "these are for you.". the plan was to go to dinner and then watch our show out on the bluffs. He took me to macaroni grill and then we went to the bluffs to watch 24. When he turned on the show it was actually a slideshow of us to all of our songs that we had grown to love together. At the end it said heather, i love you. We were both crying, so in love. we were lying on our stomachs watching the laptop and i turned to him and he said, "we have made some good memories, are you sure you want to make more with me?" i said "yes. This night has been perfect." then he kissed me and he said, "do you know what would make it even better?" and when i looked up he had opened up the ring box. he said, "I don't always know exactly what to say but I will love you everyday in this lifetime and forever. I know I am not perfect but i will do my best everyday to make you happy, as my wife. I love you heather. Will you marry me?" i said "yes" of course. we kissed and hugged with tears in ours eyes so happy in that moment knowing that we would be together forever.

The WEDDING.

December 5, 2008. It was simple and perfect. my daddy was walking me down the aisle. my soon-to-be husband was crying waiting for me, and i felt so beautiful. the entire day was such a whirlwind. we took our honeymoon to Disneyworld. it was great! we got to go to almost every park, we stayed at a resort and had the time of our lives.

Ethan & Trevor.

in April of 2009 we got new of our first son. Ethan was born in january 2010. 10 weeks later we got news of our second baby! Trevor was born that same year on december 14, 2010. my Irish twins that we love with all of our hearts :)

The SEALING.

In march of 2010 we had the opportunity to go to the temple and be sealed together as husband and wife and son for all time and eternity. It was the single most precious moment of both of our lives. We had Ethans hand on ours, both of crying from pure joy. We will never forget the sweet covenants we made in the temple that day and cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together.

This is our Romeo & Juliet story. and it is ETERNAL.
